Welcome to Language and Politics, a blog where I will share short posts that make the findings of my dissertation more accessible and, more broadly, present my research on the relationship between language and politics.

My goal is not only to make my research available to all, but also to open avenues for reflection that could help inform the development of public policy.

I will explore various topics, such as media coverage of political figures who do not speak according to the so-called “standard” norm, the role of accent and language register in shaping candidates’ public images, and the relationship between linguistic practices and political attitudes.
