About
Biography
I am a PhD candidate in political science at the Université de Montréal and Sciences Po. As part of my research activities, I am affiliated with the Center for the Study of Democratic Citizenship (CSCD) and the Centre de recherches de Sciences Po (CEVIPOF). My work is supervised by Professors Richard Nadeau and Martial Foucault.
My research focuses on the relationship between linguistic practices and political attitudes, the role of language in shaping the image of political figures, and, more generally, political behaviour. I am also interested in issues related to political representation.
My doctoral thesis examines voters’ attitudes toward the linguistic style of those seeking their vote. Using an experimental approach, I seek to determine whether a political candidate’s style can impact voters’ assessment of their ability to represent them.
